Direct connect behind a router

Is there a way to direct connect from a wireless connection to the computer that is on the cable line router? I have LimeWire running on both computers, but would like to direct connect to the main PC. When I need to move files that are larger than the limit to burn to CD, I have no idea what to do. The PC downstairs has a DVD burner, but the one upstairs only has a CD burner. Direct connecting would save me the trouble of running up and downstairs for each file I need to move.
I archive files onto DVD and burning to CD is a waste, just to move them...

DarkFall it can be done so long as a firewall is not blocking LW's upload access. Please do the BUG Report test link I gave in my 2nd post above & tell us whether it's True/False for both computers. Also can you give us the following details for both comp set ups:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
8. Who is your isp provider?
