LimeWire kills my connection

Whenever I open LimeWire it is connected for a few minutes, connects up to TurboCharged, and then gets disconnected . BUT, it gets d/c because it kills my connection and makes me d/c from everything else as well. To re-activate my connection I have to turn off and on my modem.

I'd appreciate the help.

After opening LW do you use the Resume or Find Sources button on all your incomplete files? This can potentially drain LW of its connection quality & also other side-fx. Also after opening LW it should be allowed to setle down.

Sounds like you should try to alleviate these types of issues by reducing upl/& downld bandwidths slightly also.

ACK! I have been having that same problem. I have/had a ton of unfinished files that I forced resumed and I had my upload/download bandwith probably too high. It is going to be a couple more weeks to see if this works, I on campus right now and have neen having problems at home.

It's possible since I had a single download this morning that didn't disconnect but except that I keep getting dc.
I'll try cutting down my dl/ul list.
Thanks. ;)
