I can think of a couple of things, but you didn't provide much information.

Try configuring your firewalls. Instructions can be found here. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

You can also try fixes for Limewire. Instructions can be found here. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=32552

If those don't help provide the following information:

Computer type and CPU
Operating system and sp (MAC,Win 98)
HDD
RAM
Firewalls
LimeWire Version
Java Version
Modem type and model no.
Router type and model no.
Connection (dialup,ADSL,DSL,Cable)
Who is your Internet Service Provider

Thank you

hi sorry i dont know all that stuff but it is a fairly new pc runnin on xp - it was workin yesterday though i just dont get y it wont connect - i havnt changed a thing

fabion April 11th, 2005 09:21 AM

Well it appears something has changed.

But it it's hard to say what without that information.

Did you try deleting the .limewire folder that was explained in the link for fixes for LimeWire.

Suggest you find out and post that information otherewise may not be able to help.

Looks like something is blocking LimeWire from getting access to the internet. Usually a Firewall.

Do this in LW tools>options>bug reports>view example --- received incoming this session --- does it say true or false

Operating system and sp (MAC,Win 98) - xp
RAM - 512
Firewalls - Norton
LimeWire Version - latest
Java Version - dunno
Connection (dialup,ADSL,DSL,Cable) - adsl
Who is your Internet Service Provider - plus net

Check out this link. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=33712

I think this problem might be caused by your Internet Service Provider.
