Help with connection problems
 

I recently obatained Limewire Pro, and still having problems connecting to the network. I've set all my firewalls(that i know of) to allow Gnutella through with port 6346, and I still get stuck with one green light, and the status "connecting." I'm using Windows Xp on a gateway laptop, I have service pack 2, but that firewall has been configured. However, I use an Actiontec Gateway Router, maybe that has an internal firewall blocking? Someone help please, thank you.

Well your modem/router probably does have a NAT firewall built in. You may need to forward a port. Find your model here and follow the instructions. http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

anyway to do this without setting a static ip? i like being able to change when i need to.

No to forward a port you have to have a static IP.
