Default Router reycles

I am running limewire version 4.8.1Pro i seem to be able to connect ok.. However my router randomly shuts down resets and then restarts even if there are no searches or downloads underway

I have a cable modem and a belkin router model # F5D5230-4..If i remove the router from the system then limewire runs ok..i also replaced the router to see if my router was defective however the result was the same

any suggestions?

Is it a USB router? If yes then that might be your issue. Some USB modems/routers struggle with heavy traffic such as net games, video conferencing & p2p. Scroll down to 3.4 USB-based modems/routers from this link: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum...cfm?t=86201#r5

No This router is connected to my network with cat5 cables..I thought it may have been a forwarding problem
When i went to the belkin website and
i tried setup port forwarding i not sure if i
configured it correctly ..It's a little confusing to a newbie. Something to do with virtual servers and triggering..
I also tried setting my computer into the DMZ so my system was no longer affected by the routers firewall

Still The Same problem

I also purchased a second router same make and model and had the same results

Is this problem hereditary with limewire and Belkin routers or is this a configuration issue
