Angry Please help!!! Won't open!!!

Mine won't open either.

I did the firewall thing. I trashed and re-downloaded. I looked in the prefs and there were none to throw away..........what next??????? No one will answer my emails at the support email given.....

I use to have just the basic, but then I thought I'd bump up to PRO....well, I paid my money and now it won't open. I even tried to upload the free basic one again, but that won't open now too.

Does anybody have any ideas?????????????

Thank you,
Cheryl

It's very simple to delete the LW preferences! Do a search for .limewire & delete it from the results. See: Fixes for Limewire It's location may depend on your operating system also. But only do it whilst LW is closed! You throw away the entire folder!

For firewalls see: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

topbrewer: Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? If you can't reach that page then something's blocking your access for LW.

If the program won't open then you should uninstall both Java & LW & reinstall (use add/remove prog control panel to remove Java.) But DON'T install over the net. Downld both the Java & LW installers & save to your comp. Then install Java, then LW.
