Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() I'd suggest more chance that your school is blocking p2p. If not, then perhaps you need to forward a port on your airport. The steps are 1. Set up a Static ip (most important for this to work.) 2. Forward port 6346: http://www.portforward.com/apple/AirportBSX.htm 3. Within LW: Manual port forward instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? If you can't access that page then port 6346 is blocked. If after forwarding a port (if you did it correctly of course) you still can't access this page then perhaps the school is blocking the port. |
