 Can connect but really slow downloads Hi there, I live in the Netherlands and have "chello" as my internet provider. I have an Edimax Router and can download with about 600kb/s and upload with about 100kb/s. Yet when I try to download something with limewire my speed is always around 5kb/s. If a friend of my downloads the SAME file he gets like 100kb/s! Disableing the Windows XP Firewall doesn't help. Does anyone know what my problem is and how it can be solved? | It's either the sources you're downlding from or your isp provider is filtering your use of p2p. After LW's been open for about 30 mins do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If false then you still have a firewall issue. It might be a connection device issue. To configure your firewall see: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml Remember win XP has its own firewall. |
