I am not in college .. I don't have a proxy or whatever .. I have had no problems with my limewire .. ever .. and now all of a sudden .. since also about last friday .. it will not connect .. no matter what I do .. I tried putting in the little addresses and everything .. NOTHING works!I think that it's a recent problem, especially if I'm not the only one with it! Navy_Girl_Sandi@Yahoo.com |
Recent This is a new problem, and it seems to be associated with version 1.7. We are looking for a solution to this bug. Assuming the FAQ solutions didn't work, have you tried re-installing the program? Any response is greatly appreciated. :-) |
I am using v1.7 and it has been working fine until today. This afternoon it had some trouble connecting but finally did. This evening it won't connect at all! When I first installed it I could not connect until I rebooted, it been fine since then (until today). I've rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled it but it just won't work anymore! I give up! Ron |
Now it's working again! I let it run while typing the last message, now it's connected. Go figure. Ron |
another unreguser- can't connect either I am on a home DSL 256k+ line and couldn't connect with an older version of LimeWire (I was using 1.4 I believe) or 1.7. The problem did also start for me recently, too. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I've tried it with MacOS9.2.1 and MacOSX.0.4 with the same problems. Initially (up until tonight when I could not connect at all), the connect was spotty- it would fluctuate wildly, showing the capacity of my visible gnutella network at, say 491MB then it would jump to 5GB then back down to 1GB then would stay there for a while. A few weeks ago it was always above 1TB. I would also encounter that kind of behavior with transfer rates. Rather than a connection just varying subtly, it would drop to 0.0KB/sec and stay there for a while before returning briefly to a higher rate. So, tonight I could not connect at all. It's too bad that this is happening. All I can think of are conspiracy theories. :P Hopefully something will come to the surface. cheers, mark a |
