Connection Quality

I used to have a good quality connection but now its poor! It show only one green bar. I think it may have something to do with an error window that pops up everytime I open Limewire. It says...

"Limewire was unable to set up a port to listen for incoming connections. Some features of Limewire may not work as expected"

Help! What do i do to regain a good quality connection because currently I can't download!

The first thing I would check is to see if a firewall is blocking your port, do you have one in place and if so have you configured it to allow access to the network?

Yeah, I tried that. Well, I followed the WINDOWS XP INTERNET CONNECTION FIREWALL instructions on the LW help site and made sure the IP address was correct but everytime I go back to it the IP adress has changed!

These are the instructions I followed the first time I had this connection problem and it worked and now its not. Is there anything else I can do?
