![]() Configure your firewall to allow LW full access & only have one active firewall (2 can interfere with each other!); instructions: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) 2. What firewalls you have? 3. How much ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 9. Who is your isp provider? 10. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. |

![]() Hi, Just so you guys know I had the same problem for a while. It was intermittent and extremely irritating. What i did was open the task manager and go to the services (not programs or processes) and disable the windows firewall and the ad-aware services. When you disable the windows firewall, for some strange reason it continues to run in the services window in vista....THANK YOU MICROSOFT. LoL. Anyway, it fixed it straight away. |

![]() I am having the exact same problem. I bought a D-Link DIR-300 router here in Panama and cannot get any international support from D-Link. I am using Limewire Pro and never had a problem before installing the router. I found instructions on a D-Link forum telling me to go into Tools/Options/Advanced and click on "Force IP", but no such option is shown. Not only does my Limewire just show "connecting" forever, but I also can't play any wav or mp3 files either when in IE. I have Norton Internet Security, but disabling it does nothing. |
