Running Limewire problems
 

Ok, well I just got Limewire. I installed it and everything and everything went ok, no problems. But when I go to run limewire for some reason it won't load. Can anyone help me and let me know how I can fix this to actually be able to run limewire.

Same problem... Not sure how to fix it :(

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

2. Perhaps the Java version you have doesn't do well with your system. You could remove your Java (use the Add/Remove Programs control panel) & then install Java 1.4.2 (see above link for links to Java) But downld & save the java to your comp. before installing. Don't install over the net. Either that or re-install 1.5 but as suggested, install it from your comp., & not over the net.

3. Step 4 of the above fixes sometimes fixes issues.

4. Make sure your problem is not due to corrupt shortcuts by going directly to the LW program folder & trying to open LW from there. If it opens then you'll need to delete & recreate your shortcuts.

* Jesman886 if the above doesn't work, you might need to re-install LW.
