Connections are very patchy and interupted

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Connections are very patchy and interupted

Approx 3 months ago (when version 6 came out) I have begun to have several problems with connections.
1. Connections with hosts is very patchy - previously i would connect with over 2k in hosts all with stable links - now I watch the connections go up to 500 say and then drop down to 50 - it keeps doing this
2. Download speeds are very patchy - I used to have speeds over 25kbs but now very rarely over 5kbs often there is no file transfer - it remains at 0kbs

I have an ADSL connection in the UK running at 576kbs there should be no issue. Can anyone give me any clues I would be most grateful
