hi ive been runnning limewire for a couple of months now and everything was fine until about a week ago wen i haf to reformat my computer. so i went to the site and dled limewire basic again and there was a new version of limewire that i hadnt used before. so i dled it and ran it for around 2 days and everything was fine until yesterday wen i started to run limewire it was stuck at one green bar instead of the usual 5 and then it popped up a message that said "your machine does not appear to have a connection to the internet or a firewall is blocking limewire or something." but i DONT haf a firewall and my internet is fine i can use IE and everything. i tried uninstalling and installing, restarting comp but nothing changes. o but sometimes wen i start limewire it can go up to 3 bars but then drops down to one bar again >.< this has never happened b4 and ive been using limewire for a couple of months now. maybe it has something to do with the new limewire version? i am using a windows 98 and the version of lw is 4.9.7 and i haf a cable/dsl connection. i downloaded around 15 files before it started acting like this if that helps. should i go bak to using limewire 4.8.1? if so how can were can i download it cause wen i click on the download lw 4.8.1 it becomes 4.9.7? plz help me any help is greatly appreciated. o and my computer memory is 184 ram. one more thing i just tried deleting the limewire folder in the c drive and uninstalled everything and tried dling lw again. wen i ran it, it started off at 3 green bars then four then five, but after 10 seconds it went down to 0? O.o then an error message appeared that says the firewall/connection thing i mention earlier.
