Cannot Connect to Version 1.7

No matter what I do, my iMac cannot connect to Limewire 1.7. It tries and then just dies, I really don't know what I could possibly do to it. Who could solve this, it's a huuuuge disappointment

can't connect

I haven't been able to connect where I work in the last two weeks, but I can connect at home most of the time (early am, after 7pm. Only difference is at home I use roadrunner and at work we're on 56k.
Same ver. OS, same ver. MRJ, same c. panel ext. sets.
(H) G4 400 5121MB RAM, OS 9.2.1
(W) G4 733 QuickSilver, 512 RAM, OS 9.2.1

Can't connect 1.7

I was wondering if it was a handshaking issue. The default configuration handshakes with "GNUTELLA CONNECT/0.4" and "GNUTELLA OK". Is this the current standard? What's Bearshare 2.3.0 using?
