Unhappy Can't connect! Window 2000, LimeWire 1.7

I've replaced my PC and am building the new one (old one no longer available). I've reinstalled the same software which was running on the previous PC. I downloaded the current LimeWire 1.7 to install on the new PC; I don't know what version I had on the old one. I'm running a two-PC network through a DSL Cable Router and cable modem. Connecting to the Internet with Explorer works fine.

LimeWire worked great on the old PC, but not on the new one. When I start LimeWire (or click the Connect button), the Connections tab shows it running through the autoconnect list with a status of "Connecting", but nothing happens. When it gets to the end of the list, it stops. I've checked all my settings; everything looks good. No other messages appear, and I can't find any kind of trace file which might have more information.

Any suggestions? Is there anywhere that I can download a previous version of LimeWire to see if it's a version problem?

Thanks!!

I haven't been able to connect to gnutella using Limewire 1.7 for about 2 days now. Before that it was all working great. I am running Mac OS 9.0.4 with ADSL. I have a few older versions of Limewire backed up so I guess I will try one of them. I am worried that my ISP may be blocking me though.
