i want to share my files cos i think it,s a nice thing to do, however i,m not sure if i am already doing so, how do i do this and will my pc be safe?

Thanks for sharing The network will not exist without sharers.

At the bottom left hand corner of LW it will say sharing xxxxx files in black, or it should after several minutes.. If you go to preferences/options> sharing you will see a list of your shared folders..

This can also be seen in Limewire Library Tab on the left hand side.

Caution Do not select DELETE in this window if you decide you want to stop sharing a folder .... select Stop Share OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR FOLDER ENTIRELY!

Hope this helps If you can't see any shared files let us know. I wrote this better first time but I lost it looking for the Virus link.

... Your computer will not be less safe sharing files.... the main problem is from downloading and opening certain types of file, hence the link above, and ensure you have a good anti virus programme.

thank you for your response, it,s one of those silly questions that once answered you feel like a prat/prat-ess for asking, i,ve seen it every time i use it but never made the connection! talk about staring you in the face! D'oh!! thanks again
