![]() I'm using Win98 and my network connection is Dial Up and i'm using AVG (anti virus) and i don't have a firewall. When i first downloaded Limewire is was version 4.8 and it was working perfect the connection was always very strong or turbocharged and a week ago the connect started only at on bar and stop and i'm sharing over 730 files. Then i downloaded version 4.9 sometimes when i connect i would have a strong connection but never turbo charged now, then it would drop to one bar only. Can u HELP me!!!!!! |

![]() Here's what I've learned lately. Get rid of old downloads, anything waiting on sources etc... My connection speeds up when I do that. Anything running in the background seems to slow me down as well as items in the system tray. I use the task manager to monitor my system. When I use LimeWire, I don't do ANYTHING else. I found out my port assignment was off and when I changed it and did all the other stuff, it took off turbocharged. Also, when you have a ton of stuff waiting, it seems to affect it. |
