I need alot of help

If you can help out please....

I just downloaded Limewire 4.9.11 I opened it and put the firewall settings in they require. I tried to search and it keeps telling me something about no connection possibly due to a firewall. I turned off my firewall and it still will not work....any ideas?

I am using Windows XP and Norton Antiu Virus 2004 with all the updates on both...?

Please help...any and all information in greatly appreciated.

I gave "Permit All" to Limewire....is that what you are referring to...?

Oui. Do you have another firewall? ZoneAlarm? Windows XP SP2? Do you connect at home or work/university?

Do you have a router? Did you tried deleting the .limewire folder?

There are SO many possible reasons, search the forum.

Bonne chance :p

Any idea what I am supposed to do there?

et voilą August 12th, 2005 09:33 AM

well, desactivate the firewall if possible or port forward port 6346 to your machine, that kind of things
:o

If you decide to do the port forwarding (open a port:) Start with step one on that page & click the link which will show you how to set up a static ip. This is probably the most important step. Get this step wrong & the whole process won't work after you reconnect. So you would click the brown link in step 1 before continuing onto step 2.
