Default port test failed, no downloads

I just installed LW and tried to test. The search gives results and everything is ok untill i try to download: more sources required... thats it.
I searched this forum for answers and tried to fix by deleting the .limewire folder. I have agreed to the "licence box"
And made the port test=> That failed.
Think this is a bad thing because i live in a student hostel and am conected to the internet by lan. Maby the ports for p2p are closed by the admin!?
Is there something I can do?
Running WinXP and using a 3com cable modem.
Would be great to get support.

Default

its very possible the router/firewall is blocking limewire. i opened up the limewire port and everything worked wonderful

you could find a port that isn't closed or is open by default on the router. trying using something like 1025-1030, 80, or 8080. its worth a try
