firewall issues
 

I have been trying to connect to limewire, but i'm behind a firewall.
I just moved into my dorm, and i know that its the school's internet access preventing me from connecting beyond the firewall.
Does anyone know a way to get around such a firewall in order to connect?
I'm running mac osx 10.3.9.
Please help!

some, if not all schools are blocking P2P because of the RIAA lawsuits, this maybe the case with your school. If your dorm is behind a firewall then you might be out of luck using P2P.

some schools wont allow users/students to play with their firewalls. no matter what tricks you use. ;)

run limewire through a proxy server, but its gonna be horrible and slow.
