You may be being filtered where did you get you version of LW from did you DL it from P2P net. |
dont worry.. we're attempting to get tor to bypass college firewalls for peer to peer traffic, however our problem is that the tor servers are blocking outbound 6346/tcp connections :( |
I got my limewire from www.Limewire.com its weird that i can download for a short period of time, and it goes really slow. any suggestions. Its hellaboring over here.=) |
You can try the preference folder fix in the link below but if you got your version from the official site I drought that is the problem. The odds are you are filtered. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 |

ultracross, i haven't yet figured out a setting yet to work 100% yet. the problem is to get tor setup, you need access to your router. most of these people don't have access, they're at college, or at work. so i gotta find a way to get a port open by default on a firewall. then i have to make sure the same port is open on a tor's hosts firewall too. its becoming a slow pain in the ***. it worked once when a tor host didnt have a firewall or had the gnutella port open. however, in the tor console window, i noticed a majority of hosts did block 6346/tcp. |
sounds like no one knows how to fix the problem. Alright thanks anyway |
