ive tried limewire, ive tried bittorrent, ive tried winmx ive tried other gnutella applications such as phex and shareaza. they all have the same result, nothing downloads.

it would be nice if someone could help, ive asked all around the net for this, and all people do is ask about my settings or some stupid stuff like that, and nothing gets fixed. ive had no problems downloading before, then all of a sudden, i just couldnt anymore

Well Tony

Have you checked whether your ISP, Bellsouth, is blocking or filtering out your P2P access?

Tony

Is there any other app on your PC that could act as a firewall?

For example, when I first upgraded to LW Pro 4.9.28 it reported that it also was being blocked by a firewall but in my case it was PeerGuardian 2. A small update to PG2 caused LW to think it was being blocked by my firewall, until PG2 was updated again I had to switch it off.

If, however, you do not have any apps that could act as a mini firewall then, from the symptoms you have:

I would suggest a phone call to your ISP, you never know they may have changed their policy towards P2P users.
