Wont connect (sticky doesnt help)
 

Alright i downloaded version 4.9.30 and I tried to connect to limewire but it doesnt work, i tried the sticky(s) and none of them helped, i did the manual port forward 6346 and the listen on port 6346 but it still don't connect. My ISP is known to block some p2p's but the sticky said doing that would solve it. Im using win 2000. Please help me with this.

Try a different port number for LW to use. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & change the listening port to each one of these (test each one out): 1111, 80, 3500, 4008, 1203, 20282, 22817, 10000, 443, 34599, 40475. After changing the number, press the apply button. It might be an idea to either close & re-open LW, or go to LW's menu File>Disconnect, wait a minute & then File>Connect. Give each one plenty of time to try to connect. At least 15-20 mins each. It's either that or using proxies.

BTW did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Thanks ill try that. No I didnt configure my firewall because i dont know what kind i have, my dad said the ISP just gave us one and he doesnt know how to access it.
