normal is around 40 to 60KB and if you get over 120 limewire has an internel error and freezes


maby they can improve the connection managment, it happends that you cant download on a connection lower than exalent quality without errors, this is a severe downfall of limewire

It sounds more like your system. Without knowing which OS you're using I can't give specific advice. It's either ram/cpu/java related by the sounds of it.

I had similar touble with mine,very slow downloads and disconnecting for no reason when the internet connection is fine.
I just dug out version 4.9.11.0 and its now great.
