limewire opens when i dont click on it.
 

so im having a problem with limewire, it connects and opens when i dont even click on it, somtimes when its already open it opens again somhow?? i dont know how to stop this. If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have a virus. Are you using an anti-virus program to protect your pc. You should be because if your not your just asking for trouble:eek:.

ya this just started happening when i uploaded the new version of limewire. i never happened before. i think it does have to do with java, when i deleted limewire a notification from java came up saying somthing about limewire.

You have to have java for LW to work.
Check out this post: Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should! It has suggestions for java problems.
But I still think it''s a virus:confused: :(

Its happening with me 2, i uninstalled everything including java and still have the problems...:mad: i did a FULL SYSTEM virus scan from a very reliable virus scanner - Lavasoft.com and its still happening.

It still sounds to me like 6_pac is on track. See 1. LimeWire continually Popping up every few seconds & also Opening at System Startup, & also this 2. LimeWire popping up - how to eradicate it

A virus is the only thing that will cause that unless, your LW options are set for LW start at system startup. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>System startup & make sure this option is unchecked!!!
