Does the ISP called 3web (Canada) filter file sharing?

Hi all,

I'm curious if anyone is using the 3web ISP in canada and whether they are blocking file sharing, specifically upload traffic. I'm looking to switch from Shaw and was wondering if these guys are any good.

Thanks!

3web failed to see your rights. you have a rights to download the file in Canada only

Um, I'm not sure what you mean by that? Could you please elaborate?

I re-read my post and it's poorly worded. Just to clarify, I'm thinking of switching TO 3web FROM Shaw.

Thanks.

If yuou downloading thing but not sharing then 3web shouldnt block the port but if other user is sharing, then 3web can block the port

Im sorry, i am using American Sign Language english system

Ok I see what you mean now. I know that they are allowed to restrict your uploads. That's what Shaw does to me right now. My downloads are fine, but my uploads are almost completely blocked.

What I'm interested in knowing is whether 3web blocks uploads the way that Shaw does. I know they can if they want to, but DO they?

Thanks.

they can block it to avoid being sued by RIA
