 Limewire NOT WORKING It KEEPS freezing on me - sometimes when the "Loading User Interface" window comes up, sometimes when the "Get Limewire PRO" box comes up. I've done EVERYTHING suggested: I downgraded to Java version 1.4.2; I deleted the ".limewire" folder (and YES, Limewire was COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN); I reinstalled Limewire (4.9); and I've scanned my system for viruses and rid myself of any. I don't have any firewalls installed. I am a new user to Limewire; I just installed it, for the first time, today. It was working perfectly. I tried to get on tonight and it's been acting up since. WHAT IS THE DAMN PROBLEM??? I'm on an ancient pad, Win 98, and I'm connected via cable, if any of that helps. . . .  |
