Connecting but not connected? HELP!!!
 

Hello I have had limewire on my computer for a while and now all of a sudden when I run the application and try and do the search, a message pops up that says "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected." I am using Mac OS X and it returns no results whenever I do a search. I followed the original advice of going to the sharing tab under system preferences and turning my fire wall on but when i get to the step about "selecting lime wire from the new tab" it doesn't appear as an option. Help please!

You need to add the word limewire yourself.

I entered Limewire in the "description field" but do I have to enter TCP or UDP Port Numbers? There is a blank to enter something in. If so, what do I put in there? Thanks!

I personally don't use a firewall. But I found it was already on the list. Perhaps because LW was already open. I use OS 10.3.9; see Firewall configuration instructions (click on link) I think you select Other & in description put as below. Then put port 6346.
