For those of you who have been using limewire for some time only to find that you suddenly are suffering from connection problems and download speeds, before you start trying everything under the sun to try and resolve the problem check that your ISP is'nt throttling your bandwith or blocking ports.
I have spent the last few weeks trying to sort my limewire out only to now find out that this is the case. My ISP is Talktalk and when I first spoke to them about this they denied it but then I stumbled across http://www.the-scream.co.uk/forums and was shocked by what I was reading. A lot of these broadband companys offering you an unlimited service are now restricting bandwith and blocking known peer 2 peer programme ports, so before you start trying to fix things check that this is'nt the case!
