Ok, now I "thought" I did all the research, tried ALL of the suggestions on connection problems....I thought I did. Maybe I missed one, please help me! I just want LW to work.
Here's my sit., I run XP w/SP2 on a brand spankin new HP with all sorts a power.
I have two firewalls only (Ms, and Norton). I have tried every combination and every time I get an icon on the bottom saying, that a firewall is blocking my connection. Please help me, I'm desperate. I have tried to disable both or just run AND configure one or the other, both with no luck.
I am positive there is no firewall on my ISP. Just Fort Knox not letting me experience the joys of LW.

I tried going to http://www3.limewire.com:6346 and the test was OK. I have a cable modem of unknown make (got it from the cable company), but I think it's an Ambit (?) model #U10C018
I use LW at home.
I have LW version 4.9.37 and Java version 1.5.0_04
My ISP is local: Midcontinent communications (of South Dakota), (I have a buddy there and he told me they don't firewall)
My computer is brand new with 1GB of RAM and 190GB of free space.
I am somewhat new to LW.
can anyone help me with my endless firewall/connection problems? I HAVE tried many suggestions on this forum AND in the F.A.Q.'s
