![]() I says it is downloading at 0KB/s. 1. Windows XP 2. Norton Antivirus 3. How do I check this? 4. 52.9 GB 5.Broadband 6.Router 7. Home 8. LW= 4.9.37, Java= 1.5.0_03 9. Talktalk from the CArphone Warehouse 10. No 11. False I haven't replied because yesterday, at approximately 1 PM GMT, it worked perfectly. I have not since been able to get it working again, and the bug test still said"false". Everything was working at the correct speed, as it has done in the past on the computer. It has worked before on my computer, but I do not know why it keeps doing it now. Any help would be great, thanks |

![]() Make sure XP's firewall is disabled (to reiterate): go to the control panel, double click on Windoze Firewall, check the disable box. Configure Norton FW according to this: Configuring Norton Internet Security (At least double-check it) ![]() XP & Norton firewalls ARE known to conflict with each other. Or do you only have norton AV? If so, then XP will be your next firewall. Make sure you configured it correctly as in the link I gave earlier. I notice your Speedtouch has UPnP capabilities. If there's a switch for it, make sure it's on. Do you run as an ultrapeer? If yes, then how many connections do you have? If not, then go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Speed & tick the option for Disable Ultrapeer Capabilities & press apply button. There seems to be a bit of an issue with LW 4.9 & UPnP -> Ultrapeer mode.

![]() No I have Personal Firewall with Norton, and it is set to "Permit All" for Limewire. There is no swith on the router, so I presume it already works. I do not know what an "Ultrapeer" is, so I have disabled it anyway. XP firewall is "OFF" Also, what port should I be "listening" to? |
| |||
![]() I have tried several of those numbers for listening ports, but still it isn't working. It contiually tells me that there is either no internet connection (which there is) or a firewall is blocking it (which I'm pretty sure it isn't. What else?! |

![]() Some modems claiming UPnP capabilities don't work as suggested & are unreliable. We can check to see whether the problem is the modem or not by using manual port forwarding if you're willing to try this. Find your model on the following page, on the far right column under Thomson-Alcatel http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm The steps to do must be done in this order: 1. Set up a Static ip. This is where most people make errors so follow the instructions carefully. 2. Forward a port. 3. Within LW: Manual port forward instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that. You may need to reboot your modem after doing this. You'll also need to relaunch LW.
