Question Novice Needs Help

Dear All,

my son has recently down loaded the latest version of limewire 'basic'.......before we even got over the first hurdle we could not connect because of the firewall in my norton internet secuirty 2005........i have even configured it to allow.........my machine also crashed the other day and the following message came up which was quite a 'speech', i quote ''..........

THE DEVICE GOT STUCK IN AN INFINITE LOOP.THIS USUALLY INDICATES A PROBLEM
WITH THE DEVICE ITSELF OR WITH DEVICE DRIVER PROGRAMMING THE HARDWARE
INCORRECTLY.PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR VENDOR FOR ANY DRIVER UPDATES'

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

Here is some general advice, from time to time and as PCs get older they exhibit forms of instability. Now, in most cases a cold reboot will clear the problem, i.e. switch the PC off, leave it for a minute or two then switch it on again.

However, if you still have the same problem after several cold reboots then you will have to seek professional advice because something is going wrong (about to fail).
