Cant Connect!!! Please Help!!!!

hey i have installed limewire recently, and it just displayes the error message of a firewall or a loopback in the system,

im runnin on me unfortunatly, and, using a wireless g router (although i am connected via a cable to it)
i switched off the firewall on the router and it still has the same message!
i also tryed placing my pc outside of the NAT which had no result either...

what else can i try?

That's weird. How would you do that? :D

Anyway, try this: http://portforward.com/
Read about prot-forwarding (if you want. I recommend it), then go find your router in the extensive router list. Follow instructions from there.

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
11. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.
12. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
13. Are you running a static or dynamic ip address to the outside universe?
14. What did you have for breaky?
15. So what's for dinner?
16. What R. U. doing this weekend?
17. Do you eat the same thing for breaky every day?
18. When was your last bad hair day? Give details! .... ???
19. What colour ... oh don't worry about that one!
20. What tatoos do you have? Detail them. Show samples if possible. ;)

BTW wireless devices by their nature of setup have their own firewalls. Generally NAT type of FW's. Try by-passing the wireless for an experiment & see if it makes a difference.

Firewall loopback

I to am having the same problem, the only difference is it did not start until I updated to windows media player 10, I had a CD to make and after updating to player 10, did that, but when I went back into Limewire got the firewall error.

Follow these instructions: http://portforward.com/english/route...4/Limewire.htm
Most important part is to do the static ip. If you don't do this correctly, the process won't work after the 1st time you connect.

After that, do this within LW: Manual port forward instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that.

nope still "connecting" status. and i know there isnt any other firewall other than router.
