can't disable mcafee firewall
 

I just installed limewire on XP running the latest version of McAfee.
I turned the firewall of mcAfee off but limewire still shows a firewall and low connection status, and I can't use the damn thing

what can I do to solve this does anyone know?

can you post the specs of your comp - OS, RAM, internet connection details etc. it'll enable people to help you.
have you looked at the official limewire site for firewall configuration and done it accordingly?limewire firewall help
you could try searching and reading some of the existing threads and acting on the suggestions listed there.http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=49103 this is a good place to start, look at posts by lord of the rings, specifically the bit about changing ports.
