Default error...

i downloaded limewire..but it says error..you have no active connection and/or a firewall blocking...or something like that...i cant get online unless i close limewire up(has no connection)
i have a windows xp with mcafee...and its allowing full access

can any1 help..please break down the solution..because i nothing of computors..except some basics

If I recall, aol security version has a spyware that will stop LW from working. I did however see some advice from another aol user about disabling this however I don't know how personally. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&highlight=aol

Search the word AOL on the forum & you'll see what I mean.

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

From your other post I understand you use another firewall. In that case, disable XP's firewall & configure the other one you have.

yes my firewall allows full access..but i dont know how search for aol on these forums

and my limewire isnt getting deleted every few days..so i dont know what thats about in that link

ps the windows firewall says it isnt running when i double click on it

ok i have mcafee firewall..and i have this microsoft antispyware....do u want me to shut it down?
