Default LW not connecting to network

I have a linksys router model no. WRT54GS

1. I tried forwarding my port on the router etc. That didn't work so I set everything back

2. I turned off my bitdefender 9 plus firewall, but for some reason LW still shows that i have a firwall detected.. weird.

3. I did delete the the LW pref folder and that help me startup limewire because it wasn't starting up before.

4. Running Windows xp home sp2

5. ISP is comcast

1. Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

2. Try setting your Linksys for UPnP. Not sure about your model but look at Linksys UPnP setting (click on link) Also go into LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & tick the UPnP option & press apply. Now go to File>Disconnect, wait a minute, then File>Connect & give it plenty of time to connect; 20+ mins.
