![]() Ooookay... So I've been searching the forums for about an hour and a half, and haven't found anyone my particular problem it would seem. That's my kinda luck! Anyway... The problem: When I start Limewire, Things start out fine. It loads my old downloads, they kick off at a good 40kb/s average or so. I can search and start new downloads just fine. After a few minutes however, Limewire starts becoming a little slow to respond. When this happens my downloads also slowly begin dropping to 0kb/s! All of them! At the same time the number of sources for each download starts going up! Even wierder, the total bandwidth consumption shown at the bottom bar displays impossible numbers, like 4,000kb/s or more! -but my task manager shows that my total bandwidth consumption for DL is only around 1mb While all this is going on, my free ram is noticeably reduced by about 200mb, give or take. Also, Limewire Begins using 40-50% of my processor, sometimes more. If anybody has any good ideas I'd LOVE to hear them! Background info: -Running Limewire Basic v4.9.37. Yes, I downloaded it from their homepage. -Windows XP -3.2GH HT processor. -1GB of ram -4GB of virtual mem |
