crappy connections

When I first installed Limewire (free version) it worked like a champ. Lately, though, it will connect with one to three green bars for a short while and then disconnect. My downloads are terrible now too, I used to be able to download 15 things at once and now I can only DL 2. Download speeds are really slow too. In the box it always says "connecting..." next to most of my files I'm trying do download. I have tried all the fixes (I think) and still can't get it to work like it used to. I don't know why this is happening, because I didn't install anything new since installing Limewire. I have the most current version of Java and Limewire (v4.10). Any suggestions? I am running windows XP, 768MB ram, about 20gig free space on HD. I did this test but nothing happened: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ I have a T1 connection. HELP!!
