Alright first off let me give you some details:
-windows xp
-I have a firewall
- total noob

Well I set it up and everything looks ok. I went to search for files and when i found one i wanted i clicked download. Well nothing happened.

I looked at the top and it says Enabling Open Information Sharing. That's ok I beileve, but it's been like that for about 6 hours now. Isn't it suppoed to connect to a server or something?

Please let me know.

I happen to be having the same problem..
I've been using limewire for about 2 days now and it's been running fine...
until recently just like Monkeyjunior said I am able to search and find the files that I want but when I click the download button nothing happens..
I tried checking on the fire wall but limewire was among the exceptions for access by the internet..
and then I even created the Gnutella ports but It still didn't work..
I know that I can't be the problem with fire wall because when I checked the monitor via lime wire it shows that files are being uploaded...
people are accessing my network so the fire is not the obstacle..
help plizzzzzzzzzzz
anybody with a clue would be highly appreciated

LW does not connect to a server. If it did, it would have been closed down by now. Who you connect to are people like yourself but some of them run as ultrapeers, which help other people connect to the gnutella network.

Be aware of this License requirement (click on link) & check the options.
