I can't find Nvidia modems on the net. Your modem will have a phone line going into it for net connection. It might be called modem/router or ?just a router. Keep lookin'

Just wait for the Java site to get up & running.

The following comes from Wyoming.com web page under the heading of Acceptable user policy the issue is discussed further down the web page If I were you I would call and ask if they have started blocking or shaping P2P apps. Usually when someone looses the ability to connect suddenly it is the fact that there ISP has started blocking or shaping P2P apps.

Okay I got a reply from Wyoming.com and this is what it said:

P2P is allowed and works. As far as I know we don't block ports for
this reason.

Downloading illegal stuff is not just on your head. It's not
allowed. If we find out you are downloading illegal stuff you will receive
a cease and desist communication from us. If this illegal practice
continues after this communication your internet service may be
discontinued. Please, only download legal material.

So apparently, it's not my ISP. But it can't be anything else because I've checked and double checked. So what's the problem?

Just so ya know, I've resorted to the last resorts. I deleted every thing related to LW and java off my computer and then redownloaded it all. That didn't work either. So, now I'm uninstalling the service pack two. I'll report on if that has any bearing or not.
