Angry 'Loading User Interface' 99% CPU Usage

I used Limewire without difficulty for about 6 months. Then, I got a new computer. I downloaded Limewire, made sure it wasn't firewalled or blocked in ANY way. But it won't connect. When I try to load it, it gets stuck on 'Loading User Interface' and when I check the Task Manager, it's using 99% of my CPU! I have no idea what to do to! Help!

You will need to install Java and LimeWire manually First go to the first link. You can find Links to java in there Download Java to your hard drive by putting a mark in the save to disc box. Save it to my documents or wherever you save downloads from the internet. Do the same with LimeWire the second link will take you there.

Now with that done click on start then control panel add/remove programs and see if Java is listed on the list if it is uninstall it. Do the same with LimeWire if the un installers were not loaded you may have to manually delete the files. But in most cases this is not necessary.

Now click on the Java installer you saved to your hard drive and follow the instructions after you have completed that do the same with LimeWire.

Please post back and let us know if it worked. If it did not I will give further instructions on manually deleting Java and LimeWire.

Default Nope

No luck. I absolutely, completely uninstalled Java and Limewire then re-installed Java and Limewire and made sure Limewire wasn't blocked but I'm still having the same problem.

The only other thing I can suggest at this time is un install LimeWire and Java run a search on your computer by going to Start/search/all files and folders and delete anything that says LimeWire or Java then reboot and follow the above instructions use the offline installers of Java and LimeWire. I do not know that it will work bu it is worth a try.

I was having the same problem, I was getting stuck on "Loading User Interface"

I tried your suggestions, and now instead of being stuck on "loading user interface" I am stuck on "loading menus"

At least I got a little further, lol. This is still extremely frustrating and I have no idea what to do. HELP!!!???
