Problem on LimeWire start up Ok I am not sure if this is a connection problem or what it is but when I click to connect with LimeWire it will act like it is trying to open up but after like 10-15 secs it goes away and does not even try to open anymore. I found a couple error files in my limewire folder. Here is what the said: An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM. Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) occurred at PC=0x3A44A6A Function=[Unknown.] Library=(N/A) NOTE: We are unable to locate the function name symbol for the error just occurred. Try these things: 1. Uninstall Java using the Add/remove control panel. Then reinstall using the "Offline" Java installer. 2. Delete your LW preferences folder. See instructions for this & links to Java here: Fixes for Limewire 3. Uninstall LW. Download & install the "Offline" LW version. * If it still doesn't work, install Java 1.5 offline. But again, delete your LW prefs folder if there is any before opening LW again. |
