if any one can help it would be great. we have been using limewire for awhile and loved it. but the other day it stopped connecting. it always says it is connecting but never does. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version, nothing changed. I changed firewall settings, added a new port. Everything that the limewire website says to do, but still it never connects.

what else can I do? I just don't understand how it all of a sudden stopped working. it was working great before.

If it was working before & suddenly stopped working, then knowing your operating system, type of computer, set up, etc. as the forum rules suggests you should include, will help us to know how to help you. Both your posts are so far very vague!

sorry I am new to this forum.

I am a windows xp user. My computer is a sony viao. I am not sure what you mean by set up. My internet connection is dsl.

My other post was for the fixes for limewire as you suggested. those steps didn't work for me. so far, everything posted on limewires website and in the forums have not worked for me.
