Unhappy Connection or firewall?

I downloaded limewire and changed some firewall thing then i added gnutella to somthing and now i dont know what to do it still tells me there is not a internet connection or a firewall Help!

Have a look here:

Make sure your firewall's configured. Don't run 2 firewalls together, it'll cause problems. Read the info about UPnP. If your router uses UPnP, you'll have to have it turned on in the unit & also in LW (tools > options > advanced > firewall. Tick 'use UPnP & apply). Do the port test.

I did that and now it still wont connect and i have no idea what else to do it seems to be trying to connect to a bunch of things but none are working help please

Tell me everything

OS (Win XP, 2000 etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & it'll tell you)
Connection type (cable, dial-up etc)
Modem/router brand & model
Where you connect from (home, work etc)
ISP
Firewalls you're using
Do you share a connection with other computers
Is this your 1st try with LW

What did the port test say???

Java 1.4.2-03
cable
i dont know the modem i am connected from a collage in montana
?isp?
i dont know what firewalls just the ones that came with the comp
there is another internet connection in the room but i dont think they are connected but his computer has the same problem but others on our floor have it well the first time i downloaded it it didnt work and now i want it to work so i am trying everything
nothing came up on the port test it had a blank screen come up

You'll probably need to talk to your school's computer admin & find out if they're blocking or filtering p2p. They might be able to help you out. You might be able to try using different ports or using proxies but talk to the school first.

If you know someone else there who's using LW, ask them what they did to get it connecting.

A lot of schools make it really hard to use p2p.
