| Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

 For those of you STILL having connection problems with LimeWire. 1. Make sure you install Socks2HTTP and use DEFAULT settings unless a. You are behind a proxy b. Purchased a different Gateway from Socks2HTTP 2. Install SocksCap and drag the limewire icon into the window. Then launch Limewire through SocksCap One stupid thing I got hungup on is... The "Connecting to Gnutella Network" was always displayed and the connection bars were ALWAYS red. This is okay --- it is because Limewire still assumes you are connecting through the default port. So be sure and conduct a search before you assume it is not working. -danimal  |
