Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.
(not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

![]() For those of you STILL having connection problems with LimeWire. 1. Make sure you install Socks2HTTP and use DEFAULT settings unless a. You are behind a proxy b. Purchased a different Gateway from Socks2HTTP 2. Install SocksCap and drag the limewire icon into the window. Then launch Limewire through SocksCap One stupid thing I got hungup on is... The "Connecting to Gnutella Network" was always displayed and the connection bars were ALWAYS red. This is okay --- it is because Limewire still assumes you are connecting through the default port. So be sure and conduct a search before you assume it is not working. -danimal |
