Default Keep getting Transfer Interrupted on Uploads to Others

I've noticed in the status box for uploads on the monitor page, the I keep getting transfer interrupted on the upload side of things. This has to be very frustrating for folks -- but I don't know how to fix it.

I can search and download fine, and see incoming searches.

I am using port 24337 on a d-link di-604 router (both tcp/udp open) running latest version of limewire - on an asus a7v880 m/b, 512 m o ram, 80 g/b (w/d) hard drive) -- xp pro sp 2.

I have taken limewire offline until I can figure out what's going on.

When that happens to me, I have to call my ISP and have them stop disrupting my uploads. This can take weeks

In my case, it was the ISP, not LimeWire, my computer or my router.

Hmm Cox are reknown for issues with p2p! I presume your incoming is ok, as in this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False?

Are you using your D-Link in UPnP mode or manual port forwarding? I don't know how reliable D-Link's UPnP ability is. Since it wasn't available when I bought my D-Link 17 mths ago. (My model 504G doesn't support UPnP, in fact they stopped supporting my model altogether.)

I use it in manual port forwarding -- I don't think mine supports upnp. Easy to configure.

I looked at that received item and it was marked true.

(Not important but just FYI: Actually the di-link 604 does support UPnP, but you may need a firmware update to get it. Manual port forwarding will most likely be guaranteed/more reliable anyway. Under the UPnP section here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=51357
Not that it matters, as that's not to do with your problem, but just to let you know you probably can use it after a firmware upgrade. The 'Setting up UPnP for DI-Link' link has the link to firmware updates for the 604.)

Well tried a couple of things --

I uninstalled Limewire. I backed up to a system restore point PRIOR to the installation. And rebooted.

Re-installed Limewire. Fired it up -- Answered all the questions. It had changed the port - so I fixed that. These procedures have had no effect. I still get transfer interupted on an upload, although I can search and download just fine.

I don't know what to try next. what's broke? suggestions?

Did you take Stief's advice? I think that's the way to go!

(BTW did you reboot the modem after updating! There's more than one set of instructions. Tools>Miscellaneous I think you should find the option.)

Cox and I, have a very long history, none of it good.

Let's just say the Attorney General was involved, the case dragged on for months, but I prevailed. (fraudulent practices)

Most recently I had a technician to my home, because I was seeing speeds less then 1 meg on download. All he did was say "oh that's your problem! those splitters are no good!" Changed the splitters and left. Okay waited 90 minutes, called them again, COX was getting 30% packet loss! Why the idiot didn't have them do this in the first place, I don't know. Changing splitters is rediculous. They called the guy back, they did something at their end, and I'm doing better today. I can download 6 meg, as advertised. (a little better then t2).

The people I encounter with cox either don't care, won't care. The firmware update seems to have things settled down. I let it run overnight, and while I got some transfer interrupted, it was far less then the usual 100%. I am currently uploading to 5 folks -- seems a bit more solid -- will let this shake out and let you know.
