Smile Switched from cable internet to dsl.

I've had adelphia high speed cable internet for many years, but their prices continue to increase each month so i decided to switch to alltel dsl internet. Now limewire will not connect. My web browsers all work but things like bittorrent and limewire does not work. I still have the same router. I don't think there is a fire wall in the router because it always worked until i switched to dsl, but there is a brickwall icon in the limewire program.

I have:
Linksys wireless router
2 computers (limewire used to work on both but now doesn't work on either)
Alltel Dsl Internet

Thank you for the help!

You need to read this & follow LOTR's advice
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=51357

Make sure you only have 1 firewall running & that it's set up for LW. If your router supports UPnP, make sure it's turned on & also ticked within LW (tools > opptions > advanced > firewall config. Tick use UPnP & apply).

Do the port test & see what result you get.

Check with Alltell to see if they block or filter p2p!!
