why won't it connect
 

I am using windows 200 xp with a dsl modem and everytime I try and connect to limewire it just starts connecting and gives me just that one little green bar and the rest remain red. This just suddenly happened about two months ago for no reasons I didn't change anything there is just suddenly a firewall I cant get around no matter what I do. I have tried everything I found in the pages of this forum and everything that limewire support had to say. Nothing did squat and I even tried upgrading to pro and still nothing. I just got robbed 20 + bucks. I dare someone to solve my problem.

If you paid $20 plus for pro then you were scammed. Pro costs $18.88 for 6 months of updates & email support. Anyway, changing to pro's not going to solve a connection problem!

I guess you've read through this thread & configured your filrewall properly? Made sure you're not running 2 firewalls at once?

I guess you checked to see if your modem/router supports UPnP & if it does, set it up properly within the unit & within LW? What was the result of your port test? You also would've checked out whether your modem has a NAT firewall & if so, tried manual port forwarding?
