Computer crash
 

It's actually my daughters computer. We have it in the shop, but in the mean time she wanted to access limewire on my computer but none of her downloaded music is there. Is limewire trying to recognize an IP address? How can she access her downloads from my computer while her's is being recovered (if it can be recovered!) If it can't be recovered does she have to find all of her songs and re-download them again?!

sorry, me again....I guess the question is...is her music saved to her hard drive (which crashed) or is on a limewire server somewhere that she can access from another computer?

There is no LimeWire server. All downlds are shared between users like your daughter, etc. It's a communal file sharing concept, except annonymously. All her downlds will be on her computer's hard disk drive. That's why it can often be handy backing up files onto disks like cd/dvd or external hard disk drive or zip, etc. in case anything like that happens.

Bummer...I was hoping you wouldn't say that! Well we'll keep our fingers crossed that they can restore the hard drive and get the data from it!
